Sam Malins is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham. His work focuses on enhancing and integrating psychological care within physical and mental health settings, often using digital technology.
In his clinical practice, Sam leads the East Midlands Cancer Alliance Centre for Psychosocial Health, which provides psychological skills training to staff, and psychological therapies to patients in cancer care. In addition, the team develop and test innovations to improve psychological care across the whole cancer pathway.
Sam is also a National Institute for Health and Care Research Clinical Lecturer in the Integrated Clinical Academic programme. Through this Fellowship he is working on methods to help psychological therapists improve their effectiveness using digitally enhanced feedback on their practice.
