Professor of Primary Care Diabetes and Vascular Medicine, University of Leicester
Kamlesh is an inner-city general practitioner (29 years) and Director of the Leicester Diabetes Centre. He has been involved as the Director for the past two NIHR CLAHRCs.
Kamlesh is an NIHR Senior Investigator and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. He has attracted over £50 million in grant income in last 5 years including NIHR, MRC, EU, Wellcome, Diabetes UK and industry and published over 650 peer reviewed articles. His work has influenced national and international guidelines.
