NIHR award success for statistical researcher

Ellesha Smith, a statistician within the ARC East Midlands Data2Health theme, has secured the NIHR Development and Skills Enhancement Award.

This success follows Ellesha's previous support from the NIHR for career development, and this new award is a further investment in boosting her skills.

Ellesha's latest achievement will allow her to develop more expertise in key areas, such as:

• Survival analysis
• Understanding individual patient data
• Improving graphical skills for presenting data
• Exploring the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in health technology assessments.
• Ensuring the continuation of the patient and public involvement and engagement
