Insights, opinions and advice covering applied health research into multiple long-term conditions (MLTCs) will feature on a new podcast.

Titled ‘Chronic Conversations: Research on multiple conditions’, the audio series is produced and hosted by ARC East Midlands, the leading national ARC for research on multiple long-term conditions.

There will be conversations with renowned academics, healthcare professionals and patient and public contributions who are at the forefront of pioneering research in this field.

ARC East Midlands Director, Professor Kamlesh Khunti CBE said: “We are proud to be leading nationally on MLTCs, an area where we have dedicated expertise and a track record in delivering cutting-edge research. This podcast is about sharing not just our knowledge but also inviting colleagues from across the field to contribute their expertise.”

In the first episode, which is available to listen to now, Dr Harini Sathanapally and Pauline Mountain discuss MLTCs, delving into the challenges and complexities. They also explore why research matters so much in this area, considering both the clinical and patient perspectives.

Harini is a doctoral fellow on the Wellcome trust LHIIP programme at the University of Leicester, and she is also a GP. Pauline is a member of the ARC East Midlands Community Voices Panel.
