NHR CLAHRC East Midlands would like to congratulate Dr Kevin Anthony for successfully defending his thesis and earning his CLAHRC EM PhD, titled An intervention to increase Older People’s Rehabilitative Exercise Engagement, which can be accessed here: https://www.physiotherapyjournal.com/article/S0031-9406(16)30360-1/fulltext.

Kevin has been part of our Caring for Older People Stroke Survivors (COPSS) theme since 2015, and is a Physiotherapist with Nottingham CityCare. Kevin is also one of the founding members of East Midlands Clinical-Academic Practitioner Network.

Kevin first joined the community based Falls & Bone Health Service for Nottingham CityCare Partnership in 2006. Kevin has initiated and developed the highly evidence based Postural Stability programme and a Chair Based Exercise trainer education programme. As a component of his clinical work, he noticed and investigated a clinical challenge in that older people's exercise adherence was not ideal. This was further investigated as part of his Master of Arts in Research Methods programme.

Well Done Kevin on your achievements!
