About the role
The Diabetes Research Centre are looking to recruit either a Research Associate or Research Fellow to join an established, successful research team to contribute to a programme of work which aims to address health inequalities, improve minority ethnic health and to improve cardiometabolic health outcomes as part of Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East Midlands, based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC).
The Centre is internationally recognised for its research in diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and also hosts the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and the Centre for Black and Minority Ethnic Health (CBMEH). The post provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious researcher to contribute to the ongoing development of our Research Centre.
About you
As a Research Associate, you will have a PhD in a relevant discipline alongside evidence of a contribution to peer-reviewed journal papers. You will have strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with an ability to work both as part of a research team and independently.
As a Research Fellow, you will have a PhD in a relevant discipline alongside evidence of an emerging/developing research profile and /or respected nationally/international profile for area of expertise. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to your area of expertise as well as an ability to manage and deliver collaborative based research projects.
