- Purpose: The purpose of this funding is to provide protected, funded time for individuals to prepare a high quality, competitive application for a NIHR career development award. The fellowships offer mentorship, resources and guidance to help researchers refine their proposals and enhance their chances of securing funding.
- Eligibility: Open to individuals from traditionally underserved research areas and professions working in the East Midlands. Applications are welcomed from nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, research methodologists, clinical academics and professionals in social care. While there is particular interest in these groups, individuals who do not meet these characteristics are also encouraged to apply for the fellowships.
- Funding available: Selected fellows will receive up to £30,000. The funding should cover time, support and development required to prepare a competitive application, with specific allocations for time buyout and non-pay costs, including mentorship and public involvement.
