Using research findings to improve experiences of CAMHS inpatient care

Join us for a webinar designed to support professionals across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Units and Services in improving care for young people and their families.

We will share the latest findings from University of Nottingham research that led to two practical new resources:

  • The “Far Away from Home” checklist provides clinicians, referrers and service leads and managers with a clear list of considerations for when young people are admitted more than 50 miles from their home address or out-of-region.
  • The “Knowing Where you are Going” guidance, developed in co-production with experts by experience, aims to standardise and improve the information available online before an admission. This free resource lets units easily update their website with the details young people and families most want to find.
