The Nottingham Centre for Evidence Based Healthcare is inviting applications for its popular short course on systematic reviewing.

This internationally recognised course is accredited by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and provides a comprehensive understanding of all steps involved in systematic reviewing. The course will equip you with the skills to undertake a review yourself or to supervise students doing systematic review projects. By the end of the course, you will be ready to register your review, submit a protocol for publication and get started.

The course consists of 3 modules:

1.     An introduction to evidence based healthcare and the key steps of systematic reviewing (including developing a search strategy)

2.     The systematic review of quantitative research evidence (including meta-analysis)

3.     The systematic review of qualitative research evidence (also includes a brief introduction to mixed methods and scoping reviews)

The course attracts a great mix of national and international participants. The course facilitators are based in the School of Health Sciences and the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health. They are all JBI-accredited and have vast experience of undertaking reviews - using both JBI and Cochrane approaches – and of using a range of methodologies. You will receive a certificate of completion from JBI, a full set of course materials and free access to JBI’s systematic review software (SUMARI) for one year.
