Insights into Implementation: HEAL-D

The Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London Implementation team and Health Innovation Network (HIN) Diabetes & Insights teams invite all ARC and Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) colleagues to this seminar to learn about the implementation of evidence-based interventions into practice (EBI). The aim of this seminar is to provide insights into the realities of implementation in order to achieve the NIHR vision that applied research should not only be generalisable but also implementable and sustainable, to deliver benefits for patients as well as impact across the health and care system.

The session will be one hour and will focus on the Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles for Diabetes (HEAL-D) Programme, a culturally-tailored self-management programme for adults of African and Caribbean heritage which is currently being supported by the National Insights Prioritisation Programme.

There will be presentations from Dr Louise Goff (Chief Investigator for HEAL-D) on her experience of co-designing the programme, and from individuals at the Health Innovation Network about their experience of evaluating the service and preparing it for scale.

There will be an opportunity for a Q&A during the second half of the session.

Please note that this is a free event, and we will not be able to provide any reimbursement for any public members who attend this event.
