DACHA-DASH: Improving care through better use of data in care homes

Care home teams can use everyday resident data to deliver person-centred support and enhance quality of life. These free infographic resources show simple, practical ways to turn data into meaningful insights for care providers.

Why data matters in care homes

Collecting resident information consistently is a vital policy priority for improving care quality and service delivery. The DACHA-DASH project, funded by NIHR ARC East Midlands, co-developed examples with residents, relatives, staff and other stakeholders from three care homes to make data relevant for personalised care planning and review.

These approaches help personalise daily support, boost engagement, improve communication, and track wellbeing, leading to measurable improvements in residents' lives.
