About the role
These posts are for a senior highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join an established, successful research team to contribute to a programme of work which aims to address health inequalities and improve health outcomes in people with multiple long-term conditions (MLTCs), as part of the Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East Midlands, based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC).
The LDC is internationally recognised for its research in diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and also hosts the NIHR Global Research Centre for MLTC, Centre for Ethnic Health Research (CEHR) and NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). The post provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious researcher to contribute to the ongoing development of our Research Centre.
About you
Alongside your PhD (or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience) you will have experience in qualitative data analysis and trial experience, staff management or academic mentorship and be able to work with colleagues to develop and shape the future research programme as well as supervise PhD students. A significant degree of autonomy is required and there is an expectation to work independently on own tasks and goals whilst supporting research colleagues. The postholder will be experienced, which is reflected by a growing reputation in their field of research.
