About the role
We are seeking a Research Project Manager to join the Diabetes Research Centre at the University of Leicester. You will play a key role in coordinating project activities, supporting stakeholder engagement, and contributing to academic outputs such as literature reviews, conference materials, and funding applications.
This fixed-term role, available on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.8 FTE), is ideal for individuals who are looking to develop a career in research management. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment that values open, inclusive, and sustainable research practices, aligned with the University’s OASIS principles: Open, Accountable, Supportive, Inclusive, and Sustainable.
About you
You will bring experience in coordinating research projects, ideally within a higher education, NHS, or public health setting. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to the preparation of reports and funding applications will be essential. A working knowledge of research governance and health-related research is important, along with strong IT and organisational skills.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to fostering a positive research culture. You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and you will share our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. At Leicester, we are proud to be a community of Citizens of Change, and we welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about making a difference through research.
