Her research focused on measuring quality of life in people living with end-stage kidney disease and developing statistical methods to analyse this information for clinical and cost-effectiveness.
Dr Worboys, who is currently a Research Associate in Health Economics at NIHR ARC East Midlands, said: “This work ensures that when new treatments are evaluated, we have accurate information to guide NHS investment decisions and ultimately improve care for kidney disease patients.
“I am thankful to my supervisors for their support throughout this project. I would also like to thank my examiners for such an engaging conversation about my work and all my friends and family for the support and encouragement, especially towards the end!".
