Dr Ellen Hopwood has successfully completed her PhD at the University of Leicester after passing her viva with minor corrections.

Her research, funded by NIHR ARC East Midlands, focused on improving self-management support for patients living with multiple long-term conditions

Living with multiple conditions presents many challenges, and this research explores practical ways to help patients better manage their health and day-to-day life.

Reflecting on her achievements, Dr Hopwood said: “I am very happy to have reached this milestone and successfully pass my PhD viva. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the years.

"I especially want to thank the people living with multiple long-term conditions, healthcare professionals and researchers who participated in my PhD studies. Their experiences helped shape my work and I hope I can continue to turn these insights into meaningful change for self-management support for multiple long-term conditions.”
