A PhD is an academic qualification that helps you to become an independent researcher. It’s a long, dedicated, sometimes arduous and challenging period of self-directed study. It can also be a fun and incredibly rewarding experience.
NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands is an applied research unit that works across the Universities and Health and Social Care sector in the East Midlands. As part of our work, we have a responsibility to increase research capacity, and as such, we fund a number of PhD studentships to support the development of clinical and non-clinical academics.
