The ARC East Midlands as national lead for research on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion of Underrepresented Groups along with the Centre for Ethnic Health Research, is holding a seminar with a focus on the Social Model of Disability.
‘Equality in Research Matters’
- This Seminar will focus on defining and explaining the Social Model of Disability; why it differs from the Medical Model and what it’s implications are for Equality Impact and Research
- This will feature a presentation by Julian Harrison, Sandra Paget and Elliot Harrison, all of whom are Experts by Experience when it comes to disability. The presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion on its content and associated issues.
