Shellie Radford awarded PhD

We would like to congratulate Shellie Radford for passing her PhD viva funded by ARC East Midlands. Shellie’s PhD looked at delivering intestinal ultrasound service for patients with Crohn’s Disease in the NHS.

Shellie is now working as a Clinical Research Manager for Gastroenterology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust. From July 2023, Shellie will be taking up the post of a Senior Research Fellow in Gastroenterology at the University of Nottingham.

Speaking about her achievements, Shellie said: “Undertaking this PhD has been one of the most challenging, but one of the most enjoyable experiences. The support of the networks and the connections I have made along the way has been incredible.

“I am so proud to say that I am an early career researcher and that I am able to continue my academic journey alongside colleagues and friends here in Nottingham. I really hope I can offer the same kind of support I have received to other people wanting to carve out their own academic path.”
