Claudio Di Lorito awarded NIHR CLAHRC EM PhD

The latest NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands researcher has been awarded a PhD.

We would like to congratulate our Research Associate Claudio Di Lorito for passing his PhD Viva.

Claudio’s PhD was on The mental health needs of older patients and older patients with cognitive impairment/dementia living in secure forensic psychiatric settings.

Based at the University of Nottingham, he was part of our Enhancing Mental Health theme.

Earlier this week it was announced fellow NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands researcher Dr Oli Williams was awarded a three-year post-doctoral fellowship by The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute.

At the beginning of October we congratulated Dr Amanda King for passing her viva and being awarded her NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands PhD, titled Rehabilitation for Outdoor Activity and Mobility in Care Homes: The ROAM study, details of which can be accessed here.

Also, this year Dr Sarah Brand passed her viva and was awarded a PhD, titled Understanding and improving continuity of care for people living with Chronic Kidney Disease – an exploratory qualitative study.

In the summer, Dr Kevin Anthony also successfully defended his thesis and earned his NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands PhD, titled An intervention to increase Older People’s Rehabilitative Exercise Engagement.
