Amanda King awarded NIHR CLAHRC EM PhD

NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands would like to congratulate Dr Amanda King for passing her viva and being awarded with her PhD, titled Rehabilitation for Outdoor Activity and Mobility in Care Homes: The ROAM study, details of which can be accessed here.

This project aims to identify what helps and/or gets in the way of residents’ accessing and engaging in outdoor activities and mobility in the care home outdoor space, with a view to identifying practices and resources that increase residents’ usage of the space.

Amanda has been part of our Caring for Older People and Stroke Survivors (COPSS) theme since 2014, and is a Research Occupational Therapist at Nottinghamshire Healthcare, and is part of our successful clinical academic career pathway.
