Who needs to know?

Patients and the public.

What have we found?

The accredited training programme provides the tools and understanding of research methodology to equip lay people to be active team members in research projects. It has enabled members to run their own research projects and has been delivered to young people, women detained in a secure mental health unit and is being adapted to an online format.

The course has resulted in me feeling confident that I can be of potential value to a research team. I have always considered the service user perspective as a unique one. This course has enabled an opportunity for the service user voice to be heard collaboratively.
